I know what you’re thinking…’is this a slightly bizarre question or what?’
I can remember when I came across this concept, via my most treasured mentor of all time Dr. Denis Waitley 1, I remember thinking that he’s really got a point.
Here’s the premise – if I want this person (it might be my partner, family member or friend) to be kind, patient, thoughtful or considerate for example, then the most important question for me to ask myself is – how am I living that value out-loud myself?
My question to you is, what would happen if you were experiencing a situation in your life in which you were thinking ‘if only they were more caring, loving, considerate or kind?’ and decided to stop and ask yourself, honestly ‘hang on! Am I being this quality myself?’
Frankly, that hasn’t always been my first thought.
Handy concept? If yes – PM me, as I’d love to hear your experience/aha!
And check out some of Dr. Denis Waitley’s wisdom via this reference 1, you’ll be pleased you did.
Have a fab one until I see you on this week’s #ALivewithFi 🙂
