It’s time to clarify a little about what I do when I’m working with clients. Some of you might already know, however for those who haven’t worked with me before, you might be wondering.

Patrick’s story 1 may give you some insight…

In his own words, Patrick says – “Before I saw Fi, my recovery seemed to be taking a lot longer than expected, and I was taking a lot of time off work. I had an ankle injury and after very little support from the doctor, I was eager to try a different approach.

After our first session, I could feel the physical work Fi had done on my ankle and surrounding areas which was very helpful. After our first session, Fi gave me some exercises to target the area in question, as well as an ice pack routine, and made some suggestions around my physical activity at the time.

I went back to Fi for a couple more sessions on my ankle, and the treatment got a bit more intense each time as the joints loosened up with Fi’s work and recommendations. This literally got me back on my feet!

Since then, we’ve been working on some issues I’ve had with my back and my sleep.”

So, you might be thinking, ‘What was the magic bullet?

Here’s the thing – sharing these stories might provide inspiration or clarity, however it’s different for each of us.

We all need different input.

And it’s about finding out where each of us are at. Often, if our bodies have come unstuck, it takes time to find resolution. Therefore, expecting a one-hit wonder for everything to be sorted after one session (or even a few) is unrealistic.

It reminds me of an old ad that used to play here: ‘You’re dreaming!’

Our bodies often have layers of built-up compensations, and we need patience. It takes time to learn something new, and it’s the same for our bodies needing time and repetition to let something go and relearn.

Who knows, this might be useful for you, or maybe it’s someone you know who’s struggling? Please do share this with them.

See you on this week’s #AlivewithFi 🙂

And happy holidays!
