Could increasing your productivity by just a little extra today be useful?

Before we delve in, if you’re keen to hear some nitty gritty on the most effective ways to take your productivity to the next level, then do take a quick look at the library on our website, in terms of keys, tips and secrets to increasing your productivity. 1

In the meantime, let’s focus on 2 keys that can be the most effective for our long-term results – the first of these being regular exercise that works well for us (bearing in mind each of us are different!)

For you, you might be a little bit like me, and you enjoy hiking in the native kiwi jungle which I’ve been doing today even though it’s wet and rainy (sometimes I even surprise myself!) And when wearing a backpack, this means we can benefit from weight-bearing activity including for our upper body which can help our cardiovascular, musculoskeletal (including bone density) plus immune systems. Picking the way that works for us personally is key.

You might be like me – it doesn’t work for me to go and check into the local gym. I prefer to have my own weights at home so that I can dive in whenever I need to, and I don’t need to rely on going somewhere to get motivated. There’s also swimming and stand up panel boarding as options for me.

How about you?

The second effective key to get the productivity-edge is optimal hydration, which is something we can work towards – at a pace that works for us.

If our goal is to drink 1.5 litres of plain, filtered water, then we might start with 800ml today and see how that goes for a few days before increasing to 900ml as our next step.

It’s just that little bit extra that can translate into noticing that edge when it comes to your productivity. Altho don’t take my word for it!

Here’s one final thought for you. You know that horse that wins the race – is it by a horse’s length, or is it by a nose? Just lifting our game slightly can give us the edge that we’re looking for when it comes to our productivity.
