Our latest topic is partly inspired by the tremendous episodes I’ve been listening to from the podcast How to Save the World. ¹
So my question for us is what’s our ecological footprint-impact? In fact I was thinking about this today as I was out in relatively-untouched native New Zealand bush. It’s basically a tropical rainforest – an extraordinary place to be. I’ve been in my happy place on a five hour hike that kicked off at 6.30am. The track I followed is part of the Te Araroa Walkway which starts literally about 2 minutes’ walk from our house.
It’s just epic!
So I was realising just how much I’ve been asleep (relatively) in the past, and how much I’ve basically been a consumer in the world – in terms of the way that I’m now making more conscious decisions.
I’ve noticed that the people I’m now connecting with and attracting into my life are those who’re more self-aware.
My sisters have always have been my inspiration in many ways. Plus of course my dear, long-term friend Tom in the UK, and many neighbours where we now live here in Matakana.
It’s also sobering to get that there’s a long way yet to go to help turn things around when it comes to reversing negative planetary-impact.
I’m curious to hear where you believe you’re up to – is this an area that you’re passionate about? – I’d love to hear from you either way!
Until I see you on this week’s #AlivewithFi – have a fab week☺
