This is a phrase that one of my mentors shared that makes a great deal of sense. It’s worth checking out this interesting article about the potential benefits of being present, and some tips on how to achieve this in our lives. ¹
The article mentions how effective being in nature can be for helping us remember to be right here, right now rather than off into memories or the past or projections of the future.
As we navigate our way from the depths of winter, it can be a tempting thought to be anticipating Spring springing, with all the joys this brings – from being lighter earlier and later, more sunshine and extraordinary calling from the early birds.
In the past I’ve struggled with allowing myself to fully BE in winter, although I’m grateful to report that I’m learning to embrace hibernation-mode, and even enjoy it.
In fact I know I’ve spent large amounts of my time projecting to a different place and time to avoid being in the space of something that’s uncomfortable for me. It’s a work in progress, although that old pattern is now shifting.
How about you – can you relate…
…or is one of your superpowers to be right here and now?
I am curious to hear.
Until I see you on this week #ALivewithFi have a good one ~ ciao for now 🙂
