Actually – I really mean to say, inspiring the world. I’m the current generation, and I’m inspired.
As are many thought leaders around the globe, including Richard Branson, Al Gore and Darryl Hannah…

Chris and I found our own way there – appreciating some friendly locals who were glad to give us directions. We then relished the next few hours as we were taken on a tour of the magnificent School – spellbound.
From the range of shops that sold everything from healthy vegan, raw, gluten-free ice cream (actually the best I’ve EVER tasted!)* and souvenir jewelry made from recycled bags – to organic produce grown by the kids onsite
On to include the soon-to-be-christened brand new water turbine…
Their on-site bird sanctuary…
Stunning architecture every way you turn…
The amazing Sumatran-style bridge over the local river…
The vast permaculture gardens…
The fascinating water project, focusing on ecology…
And many classrooms. None have walls…
Needless to say, we’ll be back. No wonder families move here from all over the world to bring their kids to this school. I love Richard Branson’s comment ‘I’ve never been more jealous than any kids in my life!’
*Ps If you’re interested in the BEST ice cream recipe, that gets close to the one we tasted at the Green School (and is bursting with healthy-ness) – email me at fi@fijamiesonfolland.com with ‘ice cream’ in the title J
