There are plenty of ways we can end up getting distracted!

Let’s highlight a few of the top ones…¹

First on the list is dehydration. Surprisingly, it can really mess us up—everything from struggling to focus and concentrate, to simply not being able to keep our brain in gear. Dehydration can also lead to digestive problems and irritability, making it a top issue to watch out for.

Next up is eating high GI foods (ones that have a high glycemic index and cause a rapid spike in our blood sugar.) To help us with better focus, it’s important to stick to low GI foods.

Additionally, various micronutrient deficiencies, such as low levels of vitamin D, iodine, antioxidants, or essential amino acids, can play a big role in our reduced mental focus. Regularly taking a high quality multi, especially those with the unique technology to remind your body to produce its own antioxidants.

The impact of poor sleep can also get overlooked, yet we all know that inadequate sleep can seriously affect our focus and overall functioning. And, of course, our response to stress can be a big one—it can wreak havoc on our hormonal balance and overall well-being.

For me, practicing prevention with good nutrition, taking my Nutritionals protocol helps avoid deficiencies, and staying hydrated is absolutely key. Plus I’ve noticed that when my sleep suffers, so does my focus.

How about you – I’m curious to hear what you’ve found tends to distract you?…Even if you haven’t managed to address it yet, what stands out for you?

I’m looking forward to seeing you on this week’s #AlivewithFi and until then, have fun 🙂
