Chris Folland here, tuning in with some thoughts on this provocative question.
Just to clarify, we’re not talking about a scottish movie in which the lead actor shouts “Freedom!”
In my case, when I had a job and I was needing to go to that job to earn money, I wasn’t free during that period of my day, I had to work.
I started my freedom-journey by figuring out how much I was earning, how much I was spending (my expenses) and then what was left over.
My next step was to figure out what it would actually cost to live my ideal life.
And my third step was to figure out how to get that amount of money to come in without me needing to go out to work (namely on a passive or residual basis).
That’s where the Millionnaire Academy came from.
Fi’s probably talked about it already, although if you haven’t heard of it, do message her and ask her any questions you may have.
The Millionnaire Academy was created to help those of us who are interested in getting clear about what it takes for each of us to create what is our own definition of financial freedom.
At the end of the day, a lot of people aren’t happy with simply getting by. We work with people who want to buy back their day – their life, so they get to do what they want, with who they want, when they want.
If you’ve found this useful, please do share and I’ll see you soon on this week’s #AlivewithFi
Until then – Ciao for now 🙂
¹ Some handy definitions for you – ‘Passive income is money earned from an enterprise with little or no ongoing effort. Residual income is’ based on ‘a calculation determining how much discretionary money an individual or entity can spend after paying their bills and meeting their financial obligations.’
