I started practicing these tips (below) when I was going through a tough time and feeling pretty down.

I believe it was Tony Robbins who originally shared these tips with me, and one of them was about finding ways to light up from the inside and spread sunshine on the outside.

Here are the top three ways I’ve found to do this, which can often bring a smile to others –

  1. Smile –This one is pretty obvious, however it’s inspiring how powerful a simple smile can be
  2. Give genuine compliments – Have you ever noticed how much of a game changer this can be to receive this gift, especially when you need it most?
  3. Practice exquisite listening – Translates as – fully immersing yourself in the conversation, savoring the other person’s words, and putting aside your own thoughts about what you’re going to say next
