Are you first on the list?

Does it sometimes feel like a fight to get YOU to even feature on the priority list?

It certainly has felt this way for me in the past.

And whilst I’ve taken various courses, read lots of books, heard several great speakers talk convincingly about how important I am, the clincher for me in shifting my viewpoint, has been since I became an entrepreneur, working for myself.

You see, I realised early on, that to experience the energy and vitality, the staying power and general fitness that I needed to be a healthy, globetrotting LifeStyle Consultant – I would need to have ‘self-worth’ super high on my list.

And to feel like I’m worth it – that I deserve to feel truely well in everyway – means that I’m automatically high on my list.

And you know what’s so interesting – the more I value myself, the more others do too.

I experienced a great reminder of how important my self-worth is, on a recent trip to Jakarta. It was a short trip, and I ended up not giving myself enough time to pack. I figured I’d pick up a few items when I arrived – including my staple foods I’d usually carry with me when I travel.

Oops! I hadn’t factored in transit time between meetings, and the lack of stores close by.

So, after a few days with a fuggy head, and upset tummy, I was back on track.

Such a powerful reminder to me of how vital that first item on my priority list is – making sure I’ve got me ‘sorted’ first.

Takeaway – How high are you on your to-do list? And if you’re not up there in the #1 spot, what about your life would change if you were?
