Here are my 3 top picks for getting and staying focused. 1
Writing a list of priorities – I start with the year, then adjust the lens for the upcoming quarter, followed by the month ahead. Next I boil it down to that week, the following day, next I zero in on the morning, afternoon and finally for that hour.
Specifying how long each task will take – and setting alarms for each of them
Removing obstacles – so I eliminate any distractions. I don’t have notifications on my phone for anything. Actually! There is one alert I use which is that my phone vibrates if there’s a phone call.
If I’m on task (or in an appointment) then I get back to that person once I have a block of time free.
I’ve noticed how much this removes a sense of pressure and I feel more relaxed through my day.
How about you – is focusing important to you, and if so, how do you go with focusing? Is it something you feel you’ve mastered and if not, what do you make of these tips? As always, I love to hear from you.
Until I see you on this week’s #AlivewithFi, ciao for now 🙂
