So just why are probiotic’s so important?

11324084_10153377333534808_711385555_n Firsty, ‘probiotics’ is a name used for about 400 different types of tiny organisms that can create a healthy balance of the right kinds of ‘good guys’ bacteria (called microfauna) in our intestines. The ones in our large intestines  (colon) are called bacteria and they make up almost two thirds of the dry  matter when we go to the loo.

And ultimately, these little fellows can make a big impact on our overall  health – making our colons the most metabolically active area of our body. We’re walking around right now with literally trillions of microorganisms living in our gut. They actually contribute to around 2kg of our body weight! Can you image what 2kgs of the WRONG type of bacteria would do to our insides!
